Wedding Reception Songs

Over the last few months, the fiancé and I have been compiling wedding songs that we would like the DJ to play at our wedding reception (which is now only 41 days away)!

I listen to Ryan Seacrest’s morning show on 102.7 KIIS FM almost every morning; I also listen to Pandora and Spotify all the time. However, it’s hard to remember all the songs you like/dislike! Luckily, bloggers like Lauren Conrad, and wedding websites like The Knot, have offered up great suggestions for wedding reception songs.

With all of the online assistance, compiling a list of songs for our own wedding hasn’t been very difficult. Here are a few of my favorites…

1. Isley Brothers-Shout
2. Icona Pop-All Night
3. Pharrell-Happy
4. Van Morrison-Brown Eyed Girl
5. The Wallflowers-Closer to You
6. Ray LaMontagne-You Are the Best Thing
7. Celine Dion-Because You Loved Me
8. Dean Martin-Ain’t That a Kick in the Head
9. Norah Jones-Come Away With Me
10. Frank Sinatra-The Best is Yet To Come
We will NOT be playing the Macarena, the Chicken Dance, the Electric Slide, etc…no cheesy group dances allowed at our reception. 🙂 Instead, we will be providingour guests with a mix of fun and energetic dance songs as well as slow, romantic songs. What are some of your favorite wedding reception songs?

Arms and Abs

Orange Theory was killer tonight.

We focused on legs for the full hour, so I know my legs will need a break for at least 36 hours. 🙂

Anyways, as we all know, since the key to success is always being prepared…I’ve already planned out my arm/ab workout for tomorrow morning before work.

I’m actually looking forward to working my arms (and abs) and jamming out to Spotify dance mixes! What is your workout plan tomorrow?

Have a great night!
