One Year Pictures

Hello everyone! Robbie had an amazing first birthday! Part of our celebration was getting family pictures taken and I wanted to share with you a couple of sneak peeks we were given. I absolutely LOVE them and I cannot wait to see the proofs when they are ready!

I would also like to note that photo shop does wonders! About an hour before we were supposed to leave for the pictures, Robbie took a spill off of our back step on to the cement patio. His nose was completely scratched and still even bleeding a little bit when we arrived for our pictures. He was such a trooper and Amelia, our photographer, said she would be able to touch it up and, as you can see, she did! 🙂

Happy Friday everyone

Family Photos

For Robbie’s first birthday, on Monday, we are doing family photos! I seriously cannot believe that it has already been one year since he came in to our lives. As fast as time has gone by, sometimes it is hard to even remember life before him. As our photo shoot is quickly approaching, I have been trying to come up with the perfect outfit combos for Trav, Robbie, and I. I don’t want to be too matchy, matchy but I do want us to all sort of coordinate. Below are sort of the two options I am going over right now. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Saying Goodbye

This weekend was a good balance of work and play. My fiance and I accomplished a lot of cleaning and packing, and we even sold my dresser! Yay!

Yesterday, I met up with my friend Erin and we had a lovely walk and catch up fest. At the end of the walk, we both realized we should’ve been meeting up for walks LONG before now. Sigh. After we parted ways, the fiance and I went for a long bike ride around South Beach, stopping to take some photos along the way. Miami is truly beautiful, and I will definitely miss the beach, the palm trees, and the weather!

We have a lot more packing and cleaning to do (and hopefully selling more furniture) over the next week, as well as stuffing invite envelopes, but I also plan to squeeze in some workouts, bike rides, and get togethers with friends. It can’t be all work and no play, right?

The Little Things

Getting hugs and kisses from my best friend every morning makes my heart happy.

Casual Night

The fiancé and I went to my cousin’s house for dinner this evening. We ate delicious food-guacamole, grilled chicken salad, fruit, and pie, and were entertained by my cousin’s 3 year-old granddaughter Kate. Kate talked non-stop and had us laughing the entire time!

I finally wore my jumpsuit, which I paired with my new brown booties.

Little known secret: I never wear make-up. Growing up, I was obsessed with wearing makeup and sneaking mascara or foundation on without my mom knowing. But as I got older, I felt I looked fake and unnatural, and gradually began to wear less and less makeup. And then about four years ago, I simply stopped wearing makeup altogether. I thought maybe my fiancé might want to see me wear makeup once in a while, but he doesn’t even notice when I’ve attempted to put it on! So I can happily continue to live my life makeup free. (However, I do plan to get my makeup done professionally on my wedding day). 🙂
